Singapore Tamilians are all set to make a mark in Kollywood with their creative products. In the process Singapore based J K Saravana and G Kaly of Tantra Films are coming with a film ‘Pickles!’ which is a full length comedy in Tanglish (Tamil-English).

Singaporean Karthikeyan Somasundaram (‘Uncle Taxi!’ Series), Leasha Sonam (Bantham), Nagharaj (Un Matham Aaguthadi), Saravanan Ayyavoo (Vasantham Star), Udhaya (Vasantham Star, Dhool), V Saravanan, Mageswaran, Rebekah Samuel and other stars try their hands in a feature film for the first time. Singaporean Celebrities such as Kumar, Vadi PVSS and many others play guest roles.

This film is targeting the International Tamil audience across the world including Tamils in India. The director says the film has all the ingredients to appeal all Tamils alike.

‘Pickles!’ marks the directorial debut of J K Saravana who won the SICCI- DBS Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009. Hailed as the youngest producer in the Kollywood scene for the blockbuster hit, ‘Chennai 60028’.

Mohd Noor, a popular Asian percussionist and music director is composing the background score and a few songs for the film’s soundtrack. The post-production of this film is being done at Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios.

This much anticipated film is scheduled to hit theatre screens worldwide in early August 2010.
