Vijay Vasanth of 'Chennai 600028' and 'Naadodigal' fame, son of entrepreneur and MLA H Vasantha Kumar, entered wedlock with Nithya in Chennai today.

The wedding ceremony at Kamaraj Arangam in Teynampet was attended by many prominent faces of Tamil film industry and Tamil Nadu politics, thanks to strong connections of Vijay and his father in both the fields.

After playing one of the protagonists in both 'Chennai 600028' and 'Naadodigal', Vijay is now acting as solo hero in a couple of movies 'Madhil Mel Poonai' and 'Theriyama Kadhal Panniten'.

"I am in no hurry to accept offers. If I get a meaty role, I am ready to do them. My family is encouraging and motivated me to give my best on screen," he told reporters recently.

Asked whether he would enter politics, the young actor said, "Though my father is a successful politician, I feel politics is not my cup of tea now. I want to act in good movies and take care of my family business."
