Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites opened up well in Tamil Nadu, but did some good job in the opening week and dropped of its collection. Naam Tamizhar community in support of Eelam Tamilians had requested all the Indian film actors not to take part in the Colombo IIFA 2010.
With many actors and technicians accepting the obligations of this community, they didn’t go for the awards. But some of the Bollywood actors made it happen and some of them were Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta and many others.
Yesterday morning, some of the members in Naam Tamizhar Community walked into all the theatres including multiplexes and asked the management team to stop screening Kites in support of Tamilians.
Immediately, the shows were cancelled and they have strongly condemned those actors saying that their films will no more be released in Tamil Nadu.
