Porulu – Eccentric Chennai on the roll

One of Madhur Bhandarkar's trilogies – Traffic Signal unscrambled a blatant light into the lives of platform and slum dwellers and Traffic Signals being their business centre. In all likelihood, filmmaker Ilaya Kavi seems to have been inspired to make a similar script.
Porulu Eccentric Chennai on the roll
With a set of newcomers included in the crew, the auteur endows us with realities prevalent in the slums of its residents. The film is produced by Ezhumalai, who takes on the lead role with 'Renigunta' fame Theepatti Ganesh playing an important character.
The film marks the comeback of music director Soundaryan of 'Cheran Pandian' fame and the songs have already been tuned. Says Soundaryan: 'It's been a very long time and I will prove my standards once again with this film. It has an extraordinary story in backdrops and will surely make the audiences reflect deeply over it….'
Major portions of the film will be shot in North Chennai slums and there will no set works.
