Mani Ratnam makes a promise

Drohi
Here is a mentor who feels immensely happy and proud that one of his students has come out with an interesting film. The 'guru' we are talking about is Mani Ratnam, and the film is 'Drohi', directed by his former associate Sudha K Prasad.
Since the film is set in north Chennai, the bubbly part of the city known for its liveliness, Mani has told Sudha that he would not watch the movie at a special screening or at any of the popular multiplexes.
Instead, he has promised the debutant filmmaker that he would watch 'Drohi' at a cinema hall frequented by the masses, in the midst of cheerful audience who would whistle, dance and have fun while watching a movie.
"I have made an honest attempt in 'Drohi'. Thanks to the support from the producer Mano Akkineni and the lessons I learnt from Mani sir, the film has come out well. My thanks also go to the entire cast and crew of the film, including Srikanth and Vishnu," says Sudha.
The movie has Poonam Bajwa, Poorna and Pooja playing the female protagonists. Music is by Selva Ganesh while Alphonse Roy has taken care of cinematography. 'Drohi' will hit the screens come Friday.
