Vijaykanth warns those obstructing release of ‘Viruthagiri’

Actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth has warned those who were doing ‘their best’ in obstructing the release of his upcoming film ‘Viduthagiri’, which also happens to be his debutant directorial venture in a career spanning close to three decades.
Viruthagiri Audio Release
The audio of the film, produced by the actor’s brother-in-law L.K. Sudeesh on behalf of Captain Cine Creations, was released at the Chennai Trade Centre off Guindy.  The audio cassettes and CDs were released by Vijaykanth himself and were accepted by actor Sathyaraj.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijaykanth said “I faced these kind of problems during the release of my earlier films like ‘Dharmapuri’, ‘Sudesi’ and ‘Sabari’ too; I’m not getting the right theatres for me to release the film; I know that efforts are being made by ‘certain quarters’ to thwart the release of the film.  I would like to warn them that if it continued, they would have to put up with a ‘Vijaykanth’ they wouldn’t have seen until now.

“I have my party activists with me to support me in all my endeavours.  Just wait and see how I overcome these problems and release the film.  I’m in politics not depending on anyone or any party; I depend on the people and on the God.  I haven’t committed anything wrong and as such, I don’t need to feel scared of anybody,” concluded Vijaykanth.

The event was attended among others by the artistes featuring in the film besides many leading luminaries of Kollywood and Vijaykanth’s DMDK party.
