After the path-breaking Subramaniapuram and the super hit Naadodigal (made in Telugu as Sambo Siva Sambo), director-actor-writer M. Sasikumar is back with his next directorial venture titled Easan. Reportedly the film is a thriller based on Chennai’s night life. The shooting is almost complete and the film will grace theatres on December 17.
Music composed by James Vasanthan was released recently. After completing Easan, Sasikumar will star in Samudrakani’s next. Interestingly Easan has 15 important characters, including Vaibhav, Samudrakani, Abhinaya, debutante Aparna, Mahanadhi Tulasi, Niranjan and Nammo Narayana.
The film will also mark the onscreen debut of producer Alagappan and Malayalam director Blessy. ‘There are no heroes or heroines in the film; there are only characters and all the characters play important roles,’ Sasikumar said in a press meet recently.
