Despite all the controversies prevailing around her, Nayanthara has emerged as the Queen of all the Woods in South. Considering the happy side 2010 has been a year filled with smash hits with films like Boss Engira Baskaran(Tamil), Bodyguard (Malayalam), Adurs and Simha (Telugu). Moreover the Kerala beauty has also grabbed the opportunity of playing the female lead role in Kannada film Super alongside.
Four blockbusters in a row and it is raining hits for Nayanthara. No other southern heroine in history has given four super hits in the four southern languages in a single year! Phenomenal , by any yardstick, as 2010 is turning out to be an incredibility wonderful year for the actress. From the A-listed actors and top banners in all the four south Indian languages are queuing up for her dates. No wonder, she is industry’s new female superstar. Her name is enough to add value to a project and sometimes her presence also takes a film into a different league.
A lot is being written and speculated about Nayanthara slowly going into a shell, not signing any new film and she is going to settle down with Prabhu Deva soon. Ask her about it and all you get is that million dollar smile followed by a long silence.

The actress is currently shooting for Rama Rajyam a big budget epic drama in which she plays Sita and sources close to her say that she signed on the dotted line only because it is an honour and a god send opportunity to play a role of a lifetime. She has now taken a conscious decision not to play the glamourous prop in hero driven commercial films. Talk about her recent super hit in Kannada Super, Nayan is all smiles: “I am so happy that the film is turning out to be a super hit. It was wonderful, working with a complete professional like Upendra. I’m glad that people trust my abilities now.”
