Kandahar bags ‘U’ certificate, releasing tomorrow
Mohanlal’s much awaited thriller Kandahar, directed by army officer-turned-filmmaker Major Ravi, has bagged a ‘U’ certificate from Thiruvananthapuram Regional Censors on December 14. The film is now set to grace the screens worldwide in 125 screens on December 16.
Kandahar, which marks the coming together of two legends Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal for the first time, is based on hijacking of the Air India flight to Kandahar by terrorists and subsequent storming and rescue mission by the Indian military. Partially shot in spectacular locations in Russia, the film is dubbed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
