Ilaignan’s costly audio launch
The music of Ilaignan, starring lyricist Pa. Vijay, Ramya Nambeesan and Meera Jasmine, was launched in Chennai today. Kalaignar Karunanidhi has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film directed by Suresh Krishna (of Annamalai, Basha, Veera fame). Interestingly, Ilaignan is Suresh Krishna’s 50th directorial venture. Camera is handled by B.L. Sanjay while Vidyasagar is the music director. The star cast includes Namitha, Khushbu, Vadivelu, Nasser and Suman. Ilaignan, a period film that takes place in the 1950s and narrates the story of a mother and son, is being filmed in and around a ship.
But today, the talk of the town is Ilaignan’s audio launch invite. The 50 page wedding album-like invite had beautiful stills (including the ship) from the movie along with Pa. Vijay’s beautiful lyrics.
