Rakhta Charitra 2: Malaysia premiere cancelled

The premiere of Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakhta Charitra 2, to be held December 2 in Malaysia, has been cancelled, after the lead actor Suriya informed the crew that he could not attend the show as he suffered an accident on the sets of director A.R. Murgadoss’ Tamil film and seriously hurt his spinal cord.
‘Suriya has had a very bad back injury. The accident occurred while Suriya was shooting. Suriya’s manager informed Ram Gopal Varma and producer Sheetal Talwar about the accident and told them that Suriya would not be present at the premiere of the film in Malaysia,’ a source said.
Producer Sheetal Talwar later informed that the Malaysia premiere has been cancelled as Suriya is unwell. Ramu and Suriya were supposed to fly to Malaysia on Wednesday night.
‘The injury is at the end of the spinal cord and is very painful. I have even cancelled my shoots for the next two days at least. I was really looking forward to the premiere at Malaysia and meet my fan base there, but this injury this morning spoilt it all,’ Suriya said to a website.
