Here comes an interesting development at the ongoing dispute between actress Vanitha and her father-actor Vijayakumar!
Just a day after Vanitha personally met suburban Chennai Police Commissioner S.R. Jangid on Monday and submitted certain details in connection with the dispute, the Maduravoyal police on Tuesday informed the Madras High Court that Vanitha is absconding and steps are to being taken to apprehend her!
The police filed a counter-affidavit saying: ‘Vanitha Vijayakumar is still absconding. However, we are taking our sincere and effective steps continuously to apprehend the accused person (Vanitha) in order to complete the investigation.’
In his counter to Vanitha’s anticipatory bail petition, Maduravoyal inspector V. Tamilvanan stated that Vanitha might tamper with evidence and threaten witnesses if released on anticipatory bail. However, the High Court orally directed the police not to arrest Vanitha till December 3.
