Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa Hindi remake is on: Gautham Menon
Contrary to earlier reports that Gautham Vasudeva Menon's Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa has been shelved temporarily, the director has now confirmed that the project is on. Earlier there were reports that Prateik, who was to play the lead in the Hindi remake, has walked out of the project for unknown reasons and Amy Jackson is finding it hard to learn Indian mannerisms and emotions.

But now, the director has confirmed that the film will go on floors as soon as Prateik completes the promotional work of his upcoming release Dhobhi Ghat produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Kiran Rao. He also said that Amy Jackson is currently learning Hindi for the film.

VTV, a romantic musical starring Trisha and Simbu (in Tamil) revolves around the love between an aspiring film maker Karthik, who wants to make it big in his profession, and a Christian girl Jessie. The film was remade in Telugu as Yemaaya Chesave, starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
