Bharathiraja was keeping on postponing his next project after Bommalattam. Now he is camping in Theni for an important creation. Now he is shooting his long time dream story titled Appan Aatha.
The soil smell of his films will be also in this film. Bharathiraja while speaking about this film said," So far I have not made any revolutionary films. I think that this film Appan Aatha will fulfill it. A father and mother after suffering a lot in the lives feels that the children should come up in their lives.
They want to make their children a doctor or a professor or a journalist. But the children do not live up to their expectations. They lose their track in their life and end up in a wrong way. This is my mother and father story."
