Kaavalan will have a deferred release
With the harvest festival around the corner, confusion prevails in Kollywood. The recent promos suggested that there would be six releases on Pongal day, which included biggies like Vijay's Kaavalan, Karthi's Sirutthai, Dhanush's Aadukalam and Kalaignar's Ilaignan, as well as small movies like Solli Tharava, Karuttha Kannan c/o Rekhla Race and a dubbed-in-Tamil Chinese film, Suzhal Poraaligal etc. But now, according to a source, with Kaavalan facing a financial crisis, it may not hit the screens on the 14th but will make it on the 15th if the problems get sorted out. Though the situation has paved the way for the other films to be screened in more theaters for a day, the TN Theatre owners' decision not to stick to the MG system has put them in a fix.
