Based on the movies quality aspects alone, unlike box office collections cine fundas released below rating, without including the new releases 'Yudham Sei' and 'Thoonga Nagaram'.
1. Aadukalam: The film with Madurai nativity and rooster fights have kept the movie interesting with Vetrimaaran’s treatment and Dhanush’s flawless performance. Music by G.V Prakash has enhanced the movie with songs on top of charts. ‘Aadukalam’ the entertainment this week at no. 1.
2. Kaavalan: Vijay has proved his worth breaking all the obstacles by his lovable and admirable performance in ‘Kaavalan’ attracting more and more family audience. The Vijay – Siddique combo have struck again more effective than before tasting success amidst hurdles.
3. Nandhalala: A travelogue by Mysskin has a beautiful journey in the minds of people with the maestro’s guide leaving more impressions even after moving out of the theatres. A laudable and daring effort by Mysskin to have excelled in crafting the story as well enacting it.
4. Mynaa: The film is having its second round of appreciation with re-releases in few theatres and retains the audience flocking for continuous viewing. Prabhu Solomon’s poetic narration leaves behind sweet memories for the viewers.
5. Easan: Sasikumar’s directorial gives the audience a special experience to the other side of city life and its danger to innocent victims. The director’s touch with neat screenplay and portrayal of characters needs a special pat, On the whole ‘Easan’; a good teamwork.
6. Manmadhan Ambu: Kamal Haasan’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ though gives us the feel of a triangular love story, the presentation and novelty in unveiling the scenes are fabulous. But, becomes too hard to get its appreciation from B and C centres.
7. Siruthai: Karthi’s performance is laudable on his dual roles at a very earlier stage in his career and the Karthi – Santhanam team, works out to its best. But, other than these the movie has no other positivity to be highlighted. Its better if Karthi could concentrate more on scripts.
06. Pathinaaru
After a few goofy comedies, Shiva is testing waters with a romantic drama, directed by D Sabapathy. Pathinaaru adopts a narration that congregates two different stories in the plot. Madhu Shalini plays Shiva’s female lead.Trade Talk:
