Divya who had acted in Tamil films such as Kuthu, Giri, Polladhavan, Vaaranam Aayiram and Singam Puli has now all of a sudden announced that she will not be acting in Kannada films in future. Recently she had acted in Kannada film titled Dhandam Dhashagunam.

The audio CD was launched last Tuesday in Bangalore. Actress Divya did not come for this function. Because of this Kannada producer Ganesh has made a complaint against her in the Producer Council requesting them to take action against her.
Divya while reacting to this said," Ganesh has made a big issue because I did not attend the audio launch function. He wanted publicity for his film by doing so. He has taken a huge amount from me to complete this film.

I have the necessary document regarding this. When I asked him to return my money, he promised me that he will settle it within a month’s time. But he did not return as promised. I was not able to contact him in his phone also. So I have decided not to act in Kannada films in future. I don’t have the energy and strength to fight with these people. So I am quitting Kannada films."
