The current trend in Kollywood is that music directors are choosing one of the best numbers in the album and are singing it themselves. This trend has been started long back but caught the attention only in the recent times.

It's Yuvan Shankar Raja who has sung all the hit songs from his albums and later it is followed by music composer GV Prakash with the song Yathe Yathe from Dhanush starrer Aadukalam. If observed keenly all the songs picked by the composers turned out to be hit songs and are topping the charts.

The latest and not the last joinee in this list is Vijay Antony who rendered his vocals for the song Yededho Aagipoche in Sattapadi Kuttram, directed by SA Chandrasekhar. The song is slowly topping the charts and is aired by all the FM stations. If the song catches the attention of the audiences, Vijay Anthony will continue singing for more number of songs in his forthcoming films.
