Director Mani Ratnam who shares a good relation with music maestro Ilayaraja both personally and professionally brings him on the board of Ponniyin Selvan. Yes! Ilayaraja is going to compose the background score for Ponniyin Selvan.
For quite sometime now there are many speculations on who will be the music director for this magnum opus. But finally the filmmakers confirmed that AR Rahman as the music director. So now Rahman will be taking care of the songs and Ilayaraja will do the background score. Sounds awesome!
Now the album of Ponniyin Selvan is worth waiting as two legendary music composers are a part of this big budget film. Rahman already finished composing five songs and Mani Ratnam has approved all the songs.
Ponniyin Selvan has Vijay, Mahesh Babu, Arya, Sathyaraj and Anushka in the lead roles.
