Superstar Rajinikanth is out of the intensive care unit (ICU)! According to sources, the actor has been shifted to a private ward at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai on Sunday evening.

“He is cheerful and is spending time with all the family members and is watching the IPL match keenly. His vital parameters are stable,” the hospital press release said. Visitors are strictly not allowed as per the advice of doctors, it added.

Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the hospital on May 13 with complaints of fever and fluid retention following respiratory and acute gastrointestinal infection, was shifted to the ICU on Wednesday morning for close monitoring and treatment.
