The shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth's Rana has been postponed by a week due to his health condition. Rajinikanth (aged 60) was admitted to a hospital last week following some stomach infection. He was discharged after a few hours and was advised complete bed rest by the doctors.

In the film, Rajni will appear in three different avatars and Deepika Padukone is one of his leading ladies. The film, which will be shot in places like London and Chennai, is expected to be shot in about 220 days. Music director A.R. Rahman has already started composing the songs and as usual, the legendary SPB will croon Rajni's intro song in the film. Rana will have six songs and Rajni's daughter Soundarya will take care of the CG and technical aspects in the film.
