Popular Tamil hero Srikanth, who acted in the hits Rojakoottam, Parthibankanavu, Oru Naal Oru Kanavu, Uyir, Poo, Rasikkum Seemane and Tamil-Telugu bilingual Police Police, is now making his Malayalam debut as one of the lead roles in the sequel to 1993 super hit Uppukandam Brothers, directed by T.S. Sureshbabu.

The actor plays troublemaker Bobby, grandson of the eldest Uppukandam brother Kora (played by late Sukumaran), in this untitled sequel, which started rolling in Thiruvananthapuram recently.

Shameer Khan, grandson of actor Prem Nazir, is also making his acting debut in this film. He plays Bobby's brother Seban. Congress leader Rajmohan Unnithan will play a full length comedy character. The cast includes Richard, Jagathy, Jagadeesh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Harishree Ashokan, Babu Antony, Baiju, Seema and Vani Viswanath. Alphonse is the music director.
