It looks like Simbu looks back to back releases of his movies. He was recently honored with the film Vaanam, now his next film Podaa Podi is on the heels of completion. The last part of the filming will be completed in Pondicherry, and the team will go to work on post-production.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar daughter of Sarath Kumar makes her big screen debut with Poda podi. Yesteryear actress Shobhana and Latchman Meena plays a crucial role, and director Gautham Menon will appear in a cameo. As the title indicates the film is a romantic entertainer and directed by Vignesh Siva. Movie has six tracks and Simbu made his voice to two theme songs and his best friend Yuvan has sung one. The music is by Dharan and it finished up almost all the songs.

Silambarasan has a strong background in film production deal with every aspect of the film. The team has roped in renowned artist Ute Bergk (assistant art director on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta) as artistic director for the film.
