It is well known that Sun pictures snapped the theatrical rights of Venghai for a whopping amount but now the production house is no longer associated with the film.

Now Venghai is directly marketed by the producer of the film Bharathi Reddy. The producer is directly discussing with the distributors and booking the screens for the film's release. The reason behind Sun backing off from the project is not known. The film is an out and out mass masala entertainer and Dhanush role in the film will be completely different and new.

The audio of the film is receiving good response and few songs are being aired in all FM stations.

Dhanush and Tamannaah are playing the main lead while Raj Kiran, Goundamani, Senthil, Prakash Raj and others are playing other pivotal roles.

Venghai is expected to release on July 8^th on the availability of the screens.
