Veppam is a bilingual, being made in Telugu as Sega and both the versions are releasing on the same day. It is well known that the film has been postponed due to unavailability of screens, as the screens are already filled with Avan Ivan while Vikram starrer Deiva Thirumagal is also scheduled to release on the same date.

Veppam stars Evam Karthik Kumar plays an important role while Tollywood actress Bindu Madhavi plays the character of a call girl in this film. The theme is based on the Chennai Municipal and slightly looks like Bollywood film Slumdog Millionaire.

Joshua Sridhar has rendered the music which topped the charts. Cinematography and editing is handled by Om Prakash and Vijay Anthony respectively.

Gautham Menon has produced the film under his production banner Photon Kathaas.
