Income tax officials Friday raided the homes and offices of southern superstars Mammooty and Mohanlal across four cities.

Officials said seven teams of the income tax department began inspecting the premises of the actors in Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. It is well known that the stars are into various business ventures like film production and distribution. This is said to be one of the biggest raid conduct according to the media and also this is for the first time Income tax officials have conducted a raids jointly on M and M.

Mammooty and Mohanlal apart from their businesses also hold huge real estate holdings. Some reports claim that the actors have been targeted since they were close to the earlier LDF regime.
