Hansika while speaking to the media said, "On my every birthday, my mother has the habit of adopting a child. Now I am aged 20 years and mother has adopted 20 children so far.

They will be brought up in their own houses. We will spend the money until they can stand on their own legs. So far we have adopted children from Mumbai.
Next we will be adopting children from Tamil Nadu. I have also the intention of starting a Trust to take care of lots of children. You can see a different Hansika in the films Velayudham and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi in which I have acted."
