Reliance Entertainment, the film producing wing of the Reliance Group, had earlier produced Suriya’s ‘Singam’ and the Madhavan-Neetu Chandra starrer ‘Yaavarum Nalam’. Both the films were highly successful at the box-office.

After encountering some unexpected financial hiccups, Reliance Entertainment didn’t start producing any new Tamil film for some time. Returning to Tamil industry after a hiatus, Reliance has now taken up the distribution of the film ‘Yuvan Yuvathi’ starring Bharath and beauty queen Reema Kallingal. The film has been directed by GNR Kumaravel, relative of veteran film-maker G.N. Rangarajan.

‘Yuvan Yuvathi’ is all set to hit the silver screens on 26th August. Besides the Bharath-starrer, Reliance is also likely to take up the distribution and release of ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ (starring Shantanu and Sathyaraj) and the Simbu-starrer ‘Osthi’ (remake of the Bolywood hit film ‘Dabbang’).

The business group is said to be owning as many as 27 cinema halls across the State!
