Prabhu Deva directed Vedi is currently taking place in Thoothukudi and will continuing here for the next two days.

Later to this the team will move to Chennai for a day and will then move to South Africa on September 3rd. The film will be wrapped up with the foreign schedule and then will be heading to the post-production works. Prabhu Deva has decided to can two songs of the film in South Africa, mostly in Cape Town for about 10 days. The audio of the film is expected to take place on Septrember 1st but nothing on this front has been finalized.

Vedi is a remake of Telugu super hit, Souryam that featured Gopichand and Anushka in the lead roles. It is known that Sameera Reddy is trying her hand in comedy for the first time in the film and Vivek is also there for providing the required comedy relief. Vijay Anthony has scored the music for Vedi and it is revealed that all the songs have come out well.

Prabhu Deva is aiming to release the film on the day of festival of lights Diwali.
