Karikalan has walked a schedule in the deep Talakona forests at Andhra Pradesh. Karikalan is written and directed by LI Kannan. It is produced by S Parthi and S Vasan for Silver Line Film Factory. Director Kannan is the special effects director of Anniyan, Ghajini, Sivaji, Earam and Endhiran.
Director LI Kannan will marry technology with the past. Zarine Khan, heroine of the Hindi film Veer, is the heroine of the film along with Radhika Apte and Mithra Kurien. Pasupathi plays a pivotal role in the film. This period flick is about one of the greatest historical kings in Tamil history.
