Murugadoss is all set to enthrall Suriya’s fans on Deepavali this year. The mega-project film is hitting the screens worldwide on 26th October. The film has music by Harris Jeyaraj and has been produced by Udhayanidhi on behalf of his Red Giant Movies.

Suriya plays the triple roles of a Circus artiste, Buddhist Monk and a scientist. Interestingly enough, all the tree characters are shown to be living in different periods of time in scintillating backdrops. In particular, his Monk character has been designed as a disciple of Lord Buddha who takes the martial art form of Kalari to China. The scientist role that Suriya plays is a contemporary one who ‘tests’ the Time Machine invented by a colleague (Shruti Haasan).

Shruti plays a scientist affected by cancer in the film. Murugadoss, known for his innovative ways of film-making, has mixed a heady dose of science, fiction, history, romance and action with computer-generated graphics and has presented the film in his own inimitable style. For the first time in his career, Murugadoss has made optimum use of computer-generated graphic works.

The film’s audio launch, which was scheduled to be held in Singapore on 10th September, was then postponed to 22nd September and the venue shifted to Malaysia. The latest info, though, is that though the date of 22nd Sept. remains unchanged, the venue has been shifted from Malaysia to Chennai for a variety of (untold) reasons. Another slight disappointment for Suriya’s fans would be that he won’t perform ‘live’ on stage the Circus aerobics that he has so painstakingly performed in the film.
