Team 'Muran' met the press recently and the event was a star-studded affair graced by the cast and crew of 'Muran'. 'Muran' has seen a change in the date of release as the date is now September 23. This Cheran - Prasanna starrer is much-expected since the movie is a road thriller, but without any gory scenes.

Not just that, UTV is venturing into Tamil cinema as producers through this venture! UTV, so far has distribution of leading Tamil films to its credit will now venture as producers in Kollywood through 'Muran'.

At the press meet, media where showcased the trailer of the film along with a couple of song sequences that seems to have impressed critics.

'Muran' is directed by Rajjan Madhav and has music by his brother, Sajjan Madhav. The film has been inspired from the Alfred Hitchcock's film 'Strangers On A Train.' With modern Chennai as the backdrop the film is about two strangers meeting and what fate has in store for them from then on. Cheran will play a popular musician in Muran and Prasanna will be seen as a rich entrepreneur.

'Muran' sees Nikita Tukral (the "Kodanu Kodi" girl from 'Saroja') and Haripriya as the protagonists' female leads. Jai Prakash has an important role to perform in this psychological thriller film, reveal insiders.
