Director Ravi Kumar planned the first schedule at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The team has erected two grand sets at Ramoji Film City for Rana’s shooting. One set looks like a huge palace while the other one looks like that of a ship. The shoot starts with a song which is said to be choreographed by dance master Brinda. This schedule will last for 100 days and the director has designed this by giving enough intervals to the actor considering his health factor.
Rajini, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Ganja Karuppu and other lead cast will be joining sets at the Ramoji Film City from October 3rd. It is well known that the doctors has advised Rajini to not to take any risk for action sequences. So the director is planning to include risky fight sequences by using computer graphics and body double.
Rajini is playing triple roles in the film while Deepika Padukone, Tabu and Ileana will be sharing the screen with him.
Oscar Award winner AR Rahman will score the music for the film and Rathnavelu will handle the camera.
Rana is jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth and Eros International.
