Samantha ‘hugely upset’ with media reports

Actress Samantha is at loggerheads with the Tamil press for publishing ‘wrong information’ about her. The actress gave a good account of her acting and dancing prowess in last year’s Baana Kathadi, which was her first full film as heroine in Tamil after a cameo in Gautham Menon’s Simbu-Trisha starrer Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya (VTV) prior to that.
Samantha's cold war wtih media continues?
Samantha was reportedly ‘hugely upset’ after reading reports in the Tamil press which said that she had been under the ‘control’ of a popular film-maker (read: Gautham Menon). Following the publication of this news item, Samantha has completely stopped interacting with the Tamil scribes. Whatever question is put to Samantha, her reply is only in the form of a ‘deafening’ silence.

Her portrayal of Trisha’s role in the Telugu version of VTV earned her lot of accolades. It now turns out that Menon wanted to cast her as Ajith’s heroine in the film titled Thuppariyum Anand but as the film was dropped altogether due to some difference of opinion between Ajith and Menon, Samantha’s comeback film in Tamil got delayed further.

Menon, however, has cast her as heroine in his upcoming directorial venture Neethanae En Ponvasandham (NEP) opposite Jiiva. It’s very difficult for any actor or actress to stay away from the scribes while starring in a Tamil film. Let’s see how long Samantha can remain indifferent to the presence of Tamil scribes!
