Shriya had pinned her hopes on the film Rowthiram which was released two weeks ago. Though her role was good, the film was an utter flop.

Because of this she has lost all her hopes in Tamil cinema. Now she is vacating her rented posh bungalow situated in Valasaravakkam. Shriya made her debut through the film Enakku 20 Unakku 18.

But the film Mazhai was a turning point in her career though this film was not a big hit. After this she paired with Rajnikanth in the film Shivaji which took her to great heights.
She became one of the leading actresses and paired with Dhanush, Vijay, Vikram, Vishal and Sarath Kumar. To her bad luck she danced for a single song with Vadivelu in the film Indralohathil Na Azhagappan.

Because of this she started losing offers. She started concentrating on Telugu and Hindi films. Now at this juncture, she does not have a single Tamil film in her hands. In view of the foregoing, she has no other alternative except to leave Chennai.
