Prashanth's dad Thiagarajan bags Ra.One Kerala rights

The Tamil dubbed version of Shah Rukh Khan’s magnum opus ‘Ra.One’ is getting released on Diwali the day the original Hindi is releasing in theatres.

The film’s theatre rights to release it in Tamil Nadu and Kerala were earlier acquired by Abirami Ramanathan.

Now, the rights to release the film in Kerala is been bought by Thiagarajan, actor-director and father of actor Prashant. The veteran actor bagged the rights from Abirami Ramanathan by paying a huge amount expecting the Sci-Fi thriller to gross a record collection. Tamil Nadu rights are still retained by Abirami Ramanathan only.

‘Ra.One’ features Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra do guest appearances in the film. Superstar plays Robot ‘Chitti’ that the character he played in Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’. The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha and is a Diwali release in Hindi and as dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and German.
