Vettai starring Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul in the leads is scheduled for a release on 23^rd December to cash on the Christmas season. To meet the deadline, the makers are wrapping up the remaining portions of shoot at breakneck speed.

The current schedule of the film is taking place in Karaikudi after which the post-production works will commence. Vettai is being directed by Lingusamy and the story revolves around two brothers Madhavan and Arya where the elder one will work as a cop. Produced by Thirupathi Brothers, Vettai has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Anthony.
