The shooting of this film recently took place in Old Mahabalipuram Road. In the same spot, 30 years before Kamal Haasan had worked as an assistant director in the film Annai Velankanni. Kamal Haasan while speaking about his olden day memories said, "In the same place I worked as an assistant director 30 years back in the same place for the film Annai Velankanni now my daughter Akshara is working as an assistant director in the same place now. The film Viswaroobam will be more bigger than my earlier films."
