There is going to be a record number of Tamil film releases on December 30, the last Friday of 2011. 8 straight and 2 dubbed films are releasing on the same day!

The new films announced as Friday (Dec 30) release are – Magan Kanakku, Maharaja, Madhuvum Maithilium, Paavi, PadhinettanKudi Ellai Arambam, Karuthannan Rekla Race, Vazhividu Kanney Vazhividu and Vinayaga.

Two films which look like dubbing Apayam and Vettai Nayagan too are releasing on the same Friday!
All the new releases have advertised in Tamil newspapers their release date as December 30, with theater listings.

Some of the single screens announced are same, but all of them have confirmed their release.
