Richa Gangopadhyay not happy with Osthe

Actress Richa Gangopadhyay
Actress Richa Gangopadhyay has become the latest ‘hot heroine’ in Kollywood thanks to her back-to-back releases opposite two of the top heroes in Tamil films.
She debuted as heroine opposite Dhanush in director Selvaraghavan’s critically acclaimed Mayakkam Enna which has been going strong at the box-office for the past few weeks.

However, her second release Osthe opposite Simbu hasn’t created much waves at the box-office.  The film is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood super-hit film Dabangg which starred Salman Khan in the lead.  The fact that the film hasn’t fared very well at the box-office hasn’t come in the way of Richa hiking her fee sky-high, sources point out.

Producers don’t have much of a choice other than paying Richa the amount she demands as many young heroes appear to show keen interest in pairing up opposite her.  Richa, however, is not happy with the final version of Osthe as she feels extremely disappointed and let down by the director.   She feels that more than half of her sequences have been cut in the version which is now screened.

She is also upset that she has only very few dialogue-rendering portions in the final version. She, however, doesn’t want to go to the press by leveling allegations against the director and producer as she is aware that such a move would cost her the budding career in Kollywood. She has reportedly shared her feelings only with those close to her.
