Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer Thuppaki is taking a short break from shooting. As Vijay was restlessly shooting for his on going film Thuppaki from the day the director Murugadoss has commenced the shoot, the team is taking a New Year break for 2 days.

Vijay's Thuppaki has hit the floors from 5^th December. Starting from that day Ilayathalapathy was continuously shooting from early mornings to late evenings without any break. As kollyinsider  earlier reported, only break the actor has taken was for his Nanban's audio launch event, which took place in Coimbatore in the concert of Harris Jayraj 'On The Edge'.

Vijay says "It had been a jam packed schedule in December. So I want to visit my family back in Chennai and will soon join Murugadoss and Thuppakki team on sets from 2^nd January."

Thuppaki has strong crew members with Jayamohan penning the dialogues while Santosh Sivan takes charge of the camera, Harris Jayraj scoring the tunes and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
