The National Award winning film 'Adaminte Makan Abu' which was nominated as India's entry into Oscar Awards in the category of Best Picture in Foreign Language fails to get included in the top nine films nominated for the Award.

The film bagged four National Awards in the category of Best Actor - Salim Kumar, Best Feature – Salim Ahmed, Best Cinematography – Madhu Ambat and Best Music Composer – Isaac Thomas Kottukapally.
