With Vettai releasing this Pongal, director and producer Lingusamy is on a high. In this quick chat with US, he reveals why…

What's special about Vettai to you?
Well, it's my seventh film and everything I have felt and learnt through the years, I have put into this film. It's a story about two brothers and it's entertainment unlimited.

What are your plans as producer?
Well, I have Vazhakka En…, Kumki under production and a new film with director Saravanan of Engeyum Eppodhum coming up. We are certainly looking to do good films under our Thirupathi films banner. In fact we will be producing a Hindi film soon.

\So you are foraying into Hindi with Vettai?
Yes, Ronnie Screwala of UTV saw the film and loved it. He rang me in the middle of the night said it's the ideal script, tempo and screenplay for Hindi. In fact there's a show in Mumbai on Friday for all the stars. So UTV and Thirupathi Brothers will be producing the Hindi version and I will direct.

Who are the stars?
Nothing is fixed but they are trying for Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
