‘Aravaan’ satellite Rights Sold to Kalaigner TV

The satellite rights of 'Aravaan' is sold to Kalaigner TV for a record price, reports say. The distribution is already given to Vendhar Movies.

The channel is planning to promote the film in a big way before its release.

Even after the completion and was ready for release the movie a couple of months back the film was waiting for the right takers to distribute it. Finally, S Madhan of Vendhar Movies took it. The film is now being slated for March 2nd release.

'Aravaan' is Vasanthabalan's next big project after the success of 'Veyil' and 'Angaadi Theru'. The film is a period drama depicting the life of a community that lived in Madurai covering the period from 14th to 20th century. The story was adapted from the pages of writer Su. Venkatesan's novel 'Kaaval Kottam'.

Aadhi, Pasupathy, Dhansika and Archana Kavi play prominent roles and Kabir Bedi, Bharath, Anjali
and Shwetha Menon do cameo appearances.

Singer Karthi is debuting as composer with this film. T Siva of Amma Creations has produced the movie.
