And, the very recent work of this young lyricist is his compilation of a list of Top 100 Tamil words that are used in Tamil film songs.

The table given below shows the list of those Top 100 words.

The list was prepared by his computer programme that identified these Tamil words from a sample of 1000 song lyrics.

Madhan Karky is the son of popular poet and lyricist Vairamuthu. Karky is also a professor in Anna University teaching Computer Engineering.

In a very short span of time the lyricist became the most coveted song writer in Tamil cinema. His famous songs include 'Irumbilae Oru Irudhayam…' from 'Endhiran', 'Ennamo Yedho…' from 'Ko', the Chinese song from '7aam Arivu' and 'Asku Lusku…' from 'Nanban'.
