Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar, the child artist of Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire has turned heroine in Tamil movie Kadhal Theevu!

Remember Tanvi got a lot of critical acclaim and is best known for her 2008 role as the younger version of Freida Pinto's character ‘Latika’, in Slumdog Millionaire.

Tanvi who has already acted as heroine in the Kannada film Teenage is hardly 16 years old. She will be debuting in Tamil with Kadhal Theevu directed by debutant Vettriveeran.

The press meet of Kadhal Theevu took place at Fame multiplex in Chennai on Friday morning. Among those present at KadhalTheevu launch were Sathyaraj, Dhansika and Prasanna.

Tanvi said at the launch: " I'm happy to come to Tamil cinema. My role in the film is that of a girl who comes from abroad and falls for the hero played by Ram Charan.
