It was reported by a section of media that Karthi will be doing his next with ace director and producer Gautham Menon, which is denied by the actor now. Gautham Menon is busy with a couple of projects in Hindi, a trilingual film with Samantha and also reported to be debuting into Mollywood, reportedly this top director has narrated a romantic tale to Siruthai actor who apparently thought would not fit the role well, so said no to the vinnaithandi varuvaya director.

"Whenever I come across a script, only think whether it would suit me, coming to Gautham Menon's script it is romantic flick on young pair, so left it as it would not fit me," says Karthi who is looking forward with Suraaj directing Alex Pandian and his yet to be started All in All Alaguraja with director M.Rajesh.
