In the year 1950, a real incident of heroism happened in a southern district of Tamil Nadu. A story has been built around it and is being made a film titled ‘Mannan Manimaran’ under the banner of Saishakthi Productions.

Anbu Saravanan directs this movie. As an assistant to producer/director Rama Narayanan, Saravanan introduced actor Senthil’s son as a hero in the film ‘Unnai Yenakku Pidichirukku’. He is now directing a film ‘Koottanchoru’.

His new film portrays the life of a man with heroic virtues who was a friend of the people, ready to sacrifice his life for friendship, a fearless leader who took on the ruling class and an upright person dreaded by the police. An incident in 1950 brought him into focus as a venerable hero. The name given to him in the film is ‘Mannan Maaveeran’. The story is spiked with romance and comedy. The cast is not known as yet.
Isaipriyan is being introduced as a music director. The film will be shot from May in southern districts.
