Kerala actress Saranya Mohan has announced recently that hereafter she would charge Rs. 10 lakhs per film and would do only heroine roles.

Till now Saranya Mohan was charging only a meager sum as her salary was also doing character roles in the south films. But, the actress has raised the salary to Rs. 10 lakhs and also said that she would not do sister characters hereafter.

"While leading actresses were charging big amount as their salary I was one of the few actors charging very less. Now, I have decided to raise my salary and also would act only in lead female roles.
She has been acting in films since her childhood days and has featured many Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films mostly in sister or characters roles.

The actress has acted in many Tamil hit films including 'Yaradi Nee Mohini', 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu', 'Eeram', 'Velayudham' and 'Azhagharsamiyin Kudhirai'.
