Stars unite for ‘One:The Unity Song’
The top notch stars in India are being part of a music album, irrespective of their streams and languages titled as ‘One:The Unity Song’.
Remember, semi-anthemia Mile Sur Mera Tumhara that was developed in 1988 by Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad and promoted by Doordarshan for supporting national integration and unity in diversity.
Composer and singer George Peter has come up with one such idea and assembled a miscellaneous crew of stars from different fields starting from actors to singers, sportspersons and instrumentalists to emerge the talk of being united. Some of the actors from our nation Vikram, Sudeep, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Asin, Karthika, Lakshmi Rai, Mamta and Bhavana have joined the league.
George is primarily focusing on the brotherhood with a linguistic mixture for which he has zeroed in sports stars Saina Nehwal and Sreesanth besides singers and instrumentalists. The yet-to-be-released multi-lingual track also boasts Blaaze, Shwetha Mohan, Shankar Mahadevan, Vasundhara Das, K J Yesudas, Stephen Devassy, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan and sons, KS Chitra, Usha Uthup and Vikku Vinayakaram to name a few have come together to record this unity track in AR Rahman’s studio.
